| Using a projector is a crutch. I have never used
one, but at times I have used a grid when in the transfer in making a
small work into a large work. The freeness of the hand is what is
desired in artwork. |
| Try to train your eye to see proportion. Do this
by drawing squares or circles, and checking your guesses with a ruler.
You will find that you get better and better. |
| This is why artist carry a sketch pad with them
at all times. |

I am very interested in portraits. I have never
had drawing lessons. I have done some paintings from Photographs
projected on canvas. I paint porcelain reproduction dolls.
I have many art books, but seem to do better with instruction. Is that a
possibility? I do have something in common though. I have worked in
corrections until I retired last year - Judy |

| This site is a collection of work that I had the
time to document. |
| It is due to technology that I can now help
other people achieve their artistic dreams. |
| I have done many a portrait without taking a
photo of it or copy. |
| Thank you for your comment. |
